Faculty Staff takes part in an IESL Workshop on Curriculum Mapping and Aligning Assessments

Inline with the Faculty’s motive to deliver high quality Engineering Degree Programmes, which will be recognized not only nationally but also internationally, Dr. Chamitha de Alwis and Dr. Chaminda Konthesingha represented the Faculty in a Workshop on Curriculum Mapping and Aligning Assessments, conducted by the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL).


The workshop was conducted by Prof. Julia Lamborn, who is the Associate Dean (Education) in Monash University. The objective of the workshop was to assist University academics in the field of Engineering, to develop their degree programmes in such a way that they comply with IESL requirements.

Representatives from institutions such as University of Moratuwa, University of Peradeniya, University of Ruhuna and the Open University of Sri Lanka were also present in the occasion.

The Faculty is currently working towards obtaining the IESL Accreditation and is planning to establish an IESL Student Chapter.
